Activity Opportunities

  • Book Club provides fellowship though selected readings which are intended to increase our understanding of diverse cultures and human needs.
  • Bridge Club meets every Tuesday for fun and fellowship.
  • Bible Studies meets after church and on various dates and times throughout the year.
  • Dinearounds are social gatherings held monthly during the winter months at which the host home provides a simple entree’ and the guests supplement with other dishes.  Fun and fellowship and the opportunity to meet a few new friends each month at different homes make this a popular activity.
  • The Library is intended as a quiet space for learning and sharing where books and other appropriate media of both a religious and secular nature draw individuals and small groups.  Computers and related tools, such as Skype, are available.
  • Men’s Club meets the first Monday of each month from October through May for the purpose of fellowship and service to the community.  Everyone is invited to join in.
  • Reading Buddies. Christ Church supports an after-school reading tutorial program for at-risk children in the Bradenton area.  A dedicated group of volunteers from Christ Church and the community work one-on-one with the children in the program.
  • Singles On Sunday provides Christian fellowship for those who are single and for those who are socially single and provides support for those facing life issues on their own.
  • Veterans’ Group consists of 52 veterans of our armed services who meet periodically for lunch to discuss ways that they can assist recent veterans who live in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.
  • Women’s Club gathers in fellowship once a month in the winter to have a variety of meaningful presentations and a few special projects e.g. knitting/crocheting prayer shawls, publishing the church cookbook and the cookie sale.
