Caring Ministries


To reach out to our members and friends who are suffering, grieving, aging or ill.  Giving emotional and spiritual support to those in need.


The Chairperson and sufficient others to cover each area of responsibility for the sub-committees.


Bereavement and grief support – To support and care for those in the journey of grief, on a one on one basis and/or offering grief support by trained professionals.

Good Samaritan – Volunteers willing to drive those who are unable, to doctor’s appointments, church or other local destinations as needed.

Home Communion – Provides home communion to our homebound members who are unable to come to church on Communion Sunday due to illness or immobility.

In-Touch Card Ministry – Provides a greeting card ministry to members and friends of the church who are ill, bereaved, hospitalized or homebound. Also for birthdays, anniversaries and special events in the life of our congregation.

Memorial Service Receptions – This ministry will help setting up and serving in our Fellowship Hall after a memorial service.

Pastoral Care Ministry – Deacons and lay members who assist the pastor in caring for those that are ill, homebound, bereaved, hospitalized or lonely through visitation, phone calls and notes.

 Prayer Chain – A ministry of the heart made up of members called to pray for others on a daily basis, maintaining strict confidentiality.

Prayer Shawls – Knitted by members and distributed to those who are seriously ill, grieving or aging; giving comfort and hope.

Remembrance Sunday – Held in October, close to All Saint’s Day, in memory of those members that have died in the last year.

“Soupers” – Homemade meals, delivered to members and their families by Deacons and members, when there is an extended hospitalization/rehab or special need.
